  The 2016 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is the second wine of Château Lagrange. This charming, high-quality Saint-Julien has more herbal, earthy notes than the Grand Vin and offers lots of blackcurrants and black cherry fruits.. medium body, sweet tannins, and loads of charm.   The 2016 Les Fiefs de Lagrange, which actually comes from 35-year-old vines nowadays has a very intense bouquet, especially for a Deuxième Vin, with pure black cherry, crème de cassis and crushed violets. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, quite tensile in the mouth and full of joie de vivre. You cannot really go wrong with Les Fiefs, and I bet it will be a great value once released.   The 2016 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is an absolute joy. Plaint and forward, with striking fruit density, the 2016 delivers the goods. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, and mint add layers of nuance, but it is the wine’s depth and purity of fruit that stands out. What a delicious wine this is! (1/21/2019)
